Chobe

Chobe is known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which meet along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes, and hippos inhabit the thicket and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. 

Makgadikgadi

One of the largest salt pans in the world.  large herds of zebras, oryx, wildebeests, impalas and springbuck roam the northern part of the Nxai Pan National Park during the rainy season.

Moremi

Is the first reserve in Africa to be established by local residents. The rich ecosystem is home to the highest concentration of animals throughout southern Africa. 

Central Kalahari

The CKGR covers a large section of central Botswana. It harbors one of the most unique biodiversity in southern Africa. It is characterized by vast open plains, saltpans, and ancient riverbeds, and is situated right in the center of Botswana.

Okavango Pan Handle

It is where the Okavango River is channeled between two steep banks before meeting underlying faultiness which causes it to spread out and form the Okavango Delta. The Panhandle is not part of a reserve or protected area but there are still huge areas of unspoilt wetlands and papyrus-lined lagoons

Kalahari Transfontier

The park straddles the border between South Africa and Botswana. This is the world’s first trans-frontier Peace Park. The park offers a majestic and infinite desert landscape with migrating herds of wildebeest, gemsbok, springbok, and eland.
